In search of a cheap/free/trade graphics card
« on: May 16, 2005, 05:39:11 pm »
Howdy,

My graphics card burned out on my main computer!  I did manage to swap out the graphics card out of my backup machine, but now I have no graphics card for my backup machine and a fairly crummy graphics card for my main machine.   Arg!

I am out of loot for at least the next 6 months (family stuff), so going to the store or eBay and buying a card is out of the question.  So I guess my last option is to search for freebies and people willing to trade stuff.  Does anyone have any spare graphics cards hanging around?  I really only need one, either a cheapo one for my backup machine or a nicer one for my main computer.  I will get the specs on my current video card to give a frame of reference, but I think it is an older Leadtek Winfast card with very little RAM, a TV output, and maybe a GeForce2 onboard.

I do have some stuff to trade like a bunch of short leaf-switch buttons with nuts and switchs (Some are translucent green); some old, messed up arcade bat-style joysticks;   a bunch of CDs; some PC games; SNES games; etc...

Thanks for the consideration!

I have a GEForce 2MX that I pulled out of an IBM machine when I dropped in an ArcadeVGA.

Yours if you want it.

Cheers.
