Mame Cocktail Mode??

I'm just working on the gl.tter Light Signal Engine for MAME 0.96 (see this thread), and I'm stuck on something.

I'm able to identify when cocktail mode is enabled in a game, and I can see the player 2 controls that are used in cocktail mode.

In cocktail mode, cocktial games use 2 player controls.  You need to set the cocktail dipswitch.

My mistake - it does work in both games.  I had assumed that you can toggle the bit during the game and it would work - turns out it needs a restart to kick in :).
