All,
I acquired a K6-400 computer for a DOS setup. I'm planning on putting it in a cabinet hooked up to a WG K7000 to play only vertical games. It did not have an AGP slot so an ArcadeVGA card was not going to work. Instead I ordered a Jaton Trident T64 PCI card.
I got the T64 card, installed it and it was working fine in VGA mode. I installed EasyMameCab (
http://easymamecab.mameworld.net/) and selected the T64 option using ArcadeOS and AdvanceMame at 15Khz. Rebooted and plugged it into my G07 test bench monitor. ArcadeOS comes up beautifully. Although ArcadeOS looks great, rotated games launched in AdvanceMAME are tiny.
QUESTION: It looks like AdvanceMame always selects 320x200 mode. I'm using vbeline vgaline mode. Do I need to do something else with AdvanceMAME to tell it to look for the other resolutions available with the BladeTSR? I've read something about a VBE /L command issued in Autoexec but I'm not sure I know if/where this exists in the EasyMAMEcab setup.
I could really use some help from someone using an "old school" setup like this. Let me know if you need me to post my autoexec or advmame.rc files to troubleshoot
Thanks!
