WTB JUNGLE KING or JUNGLE HUNT PCB/Parts
« on: May 05, 2005, 12:44:53 pm »
I'm looking to restore a Taito Jungle Hunt. I have a cab in decent condition, but I still need a marquee, bezel, CP, and PCB.

I'm most interested in the PCB, though. I can find the artwork elsewhere. It seems easier to find than the board, itself. Any leads???

You just missed a working Jungle King on ebay.  Ended last night and looked clean.

Well Jungle Hunt and Jungle King are very similar, but I want Jungle Hunt. I suppose either would be fine, but only if I could find all the corresponding artwork for it. I'm looking to fill a green Taito cab.

The Jungle King bezel is tough to find.  There are a couple in PA that are available, but that's all I know of and I don't know what condition they are in.  Unless you went repro.  Then you can get both the JK marquee ($30) and bezel ($40), but no control panel overlay that I know of unless you went with the sunset red.

The Jungle Hunt art is all available repro AFAIK.

It *should* be a simple ROM swap from one to the other.  Let me know if you go that route.  I've been curious for some time now.

I've seen a couple control panels lately, they were pretty rough though.

Jungle King has cooler audio, you might want to run "King" roms even if you use "Hunt" artwork.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Apparently all the artwork I had located yesterday is already sold today... >:(

Back to the drawing board. I'll run either game, but I wan it to be uniform. Either ALL Jungle Hunt or ALL Jungle King.
