I'm selling my 29" Namco Cyberlead that I bought from Videotronics a couple of years ago. It's wired to go straight into 240V mains and the coin mech takes English money.
It's in good general condition, the LED feature at the top of the monitor works fine. I'm selling it for

sorry about the delay... finally i have made enough posts to reply to your query (and not get banned for spamming...yet!).
the 2 pix i've uploaded are here:
i believe the cyberlead 1 is dual res... maybe someone can confirm that for me here. i've never plugged anything else in but standard jamma boards but it does come with the cables to run naomi games (or so that guy told me when he sold it to me).
hope you find that useful...

both mario and diddykong are for sale too...
you can have them both for free if you buy the cab.
or a tenner for both. again, buyer collects.
...better not show too many props when i take photos around the flat in the future...

hi,
issues with the monitor? not that i have noticed. what sort of problem might you get with this kind of monitor?
it might be worth noting though, that with each game the screen alignment might differ ever so slightly. all you have to do is unlock the control panel to get access to the vertical/ horizontal position/ scale knobs and tweak the screen however you like. very easy.
it's just got too dark to take decent photos in the games room, so i'll take some tomorrow. for now, i've uploaded some photos of the screen that i took a few days ago.
NOTE, this game is not for sale...
if you live not too far away, i recommend that we arrange a viewing one day before you commit yourself.
the images are here:
http://www.springroll.co.uk/rival/
sorry, that is as high res as i can produce with my old camera for now until i borrow someone else's.
ps- if you already own some boards and am not particularly keen on double dragon, i can knock 20quid off the price for the cab alone.

you know i'll only be buying it back from ebay for 40pounds...
it's one of my favourite games of all time.
hope you liked the pictures of rival schools. took me a while to track it down at a reasonable price. i just missed out on a sega model 2 fighting vipers a while back, the guy wanted to sell it as a 4 game bundle, when i agreed it was already too late. gutted.

I'm just curious, how does the LED display hook up to the jamma board? Are only certain boards/games compatible? Or how did you program msgs on it?

hi dave,
i'm not entirely sure to tell you the truth. it cycles through a set of default messages continuously at the moment. i've had a look at the cabling inside and i'm none the wiser. i presume there'd be other default ones for when you hook a couple of these machines up together, so they'll say stuff like "awaiting challengers", "50 rounds unbeaten" etc... (i'm guessing cos those are the messages i've seen in arcades in Japan) whether you can program your own i certainly don't have the capabilities of doing so myself...

I'm on it - my freind is working everyday next week tho so I may have to come alone - remove the monitor and then me and you should be able to manouver the empty cab down the stairs to make it lighter, to be honest even if there was 3 of us, I'd prefer to remove the monitor till we get it downstairs anyway.

mr megalo,
that should be fine. between now and next week i'll make sure that i've got all the tools to dismantle the thing with me. otherwise, it might be an idea to bring some of your own.
i'll get those additional pictures to you tonight and i'll detail all the specifics. what works, what doesn't, and what's not tested. (eg. the AV connectors at the back).
once we're both happy then we can talk about when you intend to come down, method of payment etc etc.
cheers,
chun

any weekday evening is good, i get home round 5:30pm... sorry i won't be able to take a day off for this, but with it not getting dark till 9 these days it should give you ample time to get back before it's too late. other than that, the whole of the weekend is fine too, but give me as much notice as you can...
i'll drop you a pm later.

sounds good to me - reason I asked what day is I am linking up with another chap who is buying a Saturn joystick from me and he lives in London - so the plan is to meet up with him and then meet up with you on the same day 2 birds one stone so to speak. I'm gonna be seeing about van hire ASAP
edit: dont s'pose your anywhere near Brents Cross Station - I know my way there easily enough, but I usually park the car there and then catch Tube into London if possible it may be wise for us to meet up - I'm sure we can work something out

hey mark,
ok... i've taken a few more pictures. hope they are to your standard. i just want to get everything out in the open so there can be no surprises. last thing i want is for you to trek all the way here only to find the machine different to how you had imagined and leave empty handed.
so being as honest as possible. (i hope this doesn't backfire on me)
1/ as mentioned, the machine takes english money.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/coin.jpg
2/ various connectors at the back. untested.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/connectors.jpg
3/ the counter works. goes up everytime you drop a coin into the machine. what seems to be original coin container included.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/counter.jpg
4/ both feet are there and works fine.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/feet.jpg
5/ cabling and pcb inside the bowel of the machine
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/insides.jpg
6/ L.E.D. at the top of the machine. sadly, the NAMCO logo has faded.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/led.jpg
7/ player 1 and player 2. original sticks but buttons have been replaced by some clicky ones which are new. there are some small yellow specks and what appears to be slight cigarette burnt marks. but nothing major.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/player1.jpg
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/player2.jpg
8/ under the panel and some of my labelling so i know how to put it back together.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/underpanel.jpg
9/ window where you put your moves list.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/window.jpg
10/ some scruffs on the back of the machine
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/backscruffs.jpg
11/ under the screen. some more cabling and buttons for the screen adjust.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/screenadjust.jpg
12/ side art/ sticker. nice.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/sidesticker.jpg
13/ some original namco tags on the coin door.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/tags.jpg
one other thing that is not shown...2 of the barrel locks need changing as i don't have the keys to them, they are permanently unlocked at the moment. should be simple enough.
lastly... double dragon. i will miss you.
http://www.springroll.co.uk/closeup/ddragon.jpg
hope the above has helped you concrete your decision.
they will stay in my photo collection forever.
i'll pm you with some directions to my place soon.

A very interesting machine indeed...with ports like that on the back!
And that Namco board inside...wired up for stereo, and I bet thats the LED driver. I see similar connections on Namco System 10 boards...so it probably can display more in-game msgs. Very cool indeed, I'll have to keep my eye out for one of these in the states.

now you know why my eyes lit up and cheshire cat smile zoomed across my face
means I'm gonna have to get a Tekken Tag PCB and Soul Calibur, plus it has the Namco I/O board - ideal for Teken 4 or Tekken 5

Found more info on the Cyber Lead's LED screen. Seems you can program some stored msgs/animations stuff straight off the I/O board.

nice!!!
i saw those referred buttons but i never touched them.
well, it's in the hands of mr megalo now. he promised me some pictures once he has things figured out. so look out for them here soon.
top guy to do business with, everything went according to plan without a hitch. but respect to the extra muscle his buddy lent us, without him, we might still be at the top of the stairs now trying to lower the machine down...
my recommendation to top trader on these boards, mr megalo. +1.
