Keywiz problem
« on: May 02, 2005, 03:15:20 pm »
Hei,

I wanted an i-pac, but ended up buying the cheaper keywiz eco.

It seems to work, but I cannot change the profile.

I can create another profile with differenf keymappings, but after Upload the keys are still the same. They didn't change.

Another thing is that most of the time the setup program is not able to connect to encoder. Upload and Launch fails more than half the time too.

Does any of you have any ideas of how I might be able to make it work? Or did I make a 20$ mistake.

Thanks,
First-timer (cab nearly finished)

Did you e-mail Randy??

He's super friendly and has helped me with any questions I've had.

I did email Randy and he gave some advice, like check wiring, maybe a virus,...

It sort of works now ie. I am able to change the button defenitions, but still most of the time it is not able to connect, maybe 1 out of 5.

I just tried my first game on my 'not quite finished cab'. Buttons worked, but joysticks didn't. I'm sure it's a mame configuration problem, but couldn't figure out what it was yet. Cannot wait to finish the cab and make the joysticks work.

Also my happ trackball -mouse hack didn't work (tried a ps2 and a usb mouse).

Maybe someday...
