Painting plexiglass

Does anybody have any experience with applying paint to plexiglass? I'm trying to replace the "painted" plexiglass bezel on an old cab that's seen better days... I guess it's just a case of masking off the screen area, and applying black paint - but are there any types of paint I should avoid? Would something with solvent in it damage the plexi?

I would use the paint made for plastic.

I like to use real glass for bezels , plexi is for CPs IMO.

Krylon spray paint works wonders.  My dad is an old sign-painter by trade and he's used it on more acrylic signfaces than I can count.  Never a problem.

You can use the "fusion" stuff, but it's probably not necessary as acrylic isn't the same as that soft plastic that "fusion" seems to be designed for.

You are spraying the reverse side, yes?
