270 Deg Wheel, Turbo Shifter & A-PAC For Sale
« on: April 28, 2005, 03:47:09 pm »
Hi All,
I have been working on a new driving panel for the past month for my cab.

Anyway, I purchased 2 of everything - 270 deg Happ wheel, Happ rtn to ctr turbo shifter & A-PAC.

I was not really happy with the first panel, as it has red T-Moulding, and you can see the underside of the pre-laminated MDF in places which is white. This panel will fit any Hanaho Arcade PC Mini or can be used as a desktop panel. It could easily be tidied up, the t-moulding changed for another colour and the white surfaces painted black. The panel was made on a CNC machine and is well built.

So basically I'm selling a wheel, shifter, A-PAC and  MDF panel (if anyone wants it)
Anyone seriously interested PM me before I put the whole thing on Ebay.

Oh yes, my all black panel will be available to see in a week or so, when I finish my site and submit it. :D

i'm interested in just the wheel...

you've got to at least give us a starting point on price...at least.

it looks like the steering wheel set you back 180...at least.

the shifter looks to be around 50, and the a-pac is about 40 +shipping.  a good price to you would probably be 250, right?

FIENDS! Get out of here!  ;)

I don't really want to sell the parts separately, I'm open to sensible offers.

Yes I purchased the wheel and shifter directly from Happs in the UK. It cost twice as much than buying from the States, we here in rip-off Britain have to pay what it costs in Dollars in Pounds. Appart from a little shelf dust, they are brand new. Andy Warne used this wheel to test the A-PAC before it was released and whilst my panel builder had my other wheel, hence the reason why I have 2 wheels. I can ship to the US, UK or Europe  BTW.

Hey, I know.. why don't I just give it away, it's not like I spent a load of money on the parts, paid for someone to CAD design it, CNC the wood and assemble it for me

I only asked for

This site is historically frugal, so Ebay with a reserve price is probably your best bet.

He is gonna get hozed money-wise no matter what. That stuff is pricey from Happs but is REALLY CHEAP on the secondary market. They cost 10x as much new from Happs as they go used on ebay.

I bought a 360 wheel with panel from an Offroad Challenge for $25 on ebay and a Turbo shifter for $20.  So $45 instead of $200 for almost the same setup.

What on earth are you talking about?? This is a brand new 270 degree Happs wheel, not an old 360 degree optical wheel from an old machine (not that there's anything wrong with 360 degree optical wheels). In addition, what about the new A-PAC, new shifter and the custom built panel? I'm really not that bothered anyway, as I can just keep the parts for spares or build another panel :P

I'm buying a brand new car soon; maybe I should walk in to the showroom and say to the salesman, that I purchased an old car once, for a fraction of the price and ask if I can get the brand new car at the same price because it's virtually the same setup... four wheels and an engine LMAO ;D

The 270 wheel has been mounted and played with.  So in my mind its USED, not NEW.

I'm just telling you as someone who has been buying arcade controls new and used on a monthly basis for over 5 years. A new wheel from Happ might cost a fortune, but it is going to be hard to get more than a fraction of that back. You can buy entire working games equipped with that wheel (in good working order) at most any auction for less than Happ wants for that wheel.

Hey Paige, I wasn't talking to you in my reply, GGKoul has been PM me and just seems as tight as a ducks arse. I know this is not the best place to sell these bits, but thought I'd at least mention it before putting it up on EBay. I personally would rather have a new, unmarked, tight wheel rather than something beat up out of an old machine. I know because I have purchased an Outrun cab and Chase HQ cab, both wheels were shot to pieces.

I was not really happy with the first panel, as it has red T-Moulding, and you can see the underside of the pre-laminated MDF in places which is white.
The red T-molding looks good on it.  Could someone take it apart, apply some flat black paint to the pre-laminated parts, and re-assemble it?  Would make it look much better.

I'm not in the market for it, though.
