Well my one and only tip but never mind!
Just something I utillised which I thought someone else may find handy.
Im using my only PC as my mame cab. I have a keyboard draw as it is obv necessary for internet browsing etc but I like to use it as little as possible when using mame.
Ive got my pc to run my fav mame game (Cadillacs and Dinosaurs) as soon as windows boots and the exits to Ultrastyle FE (highly recomended!) when I exit.
After quitting Ultrastyle, the PC returns to windows. If I wanted to go back to Ultrastyle I had to open the keyboard draw and double click Ultrastyle which was a bit of a pain.
I figured out that you can use the windows key shortcut to open an application.
To do this you right click the shortcut to the FE (or whatever) of your choice and you can type in a shortcut to the .exe.
You can only use CTRL + ALT + the letter you choose. If you are using an I-Pac and have the standard key setup this is really handy as PL1 and PL2 buttons are CTRL + ALT. So if you select the shortcut letter as one of the buttons on your CP (I used PL1 button 7) you can easily open the FE or EXE without having to get your keyboard out. (ie by pressing PL1 buttons 1,2 and 7.
This may be totaly obvious, or useless, to most people but I thought I would post it in case anyone else found it useful.
Enjoy!!
