Have $2.38 in paypal, need LEDs/resistors
« on: April 22, 2005, 04:42:57 pm »
Hello,

This is a long shot.  I am after some LEDs (or a single LED), either blue or white to illuminate my translucent blue trackball.  I want to connect them(or it) to my Keywhiz Eco's 5v DC output, so I will also need an appropriate resistor.  I have $2.38 I want to use in paypal.  Anyone interested in a LED or two with appropriate resistors for $2.38?

Thanks

NIVO

Well, I do now...   :(  They're closed till May 1st, which they neglect to mention till after I made my payment!

Oh well, the prices are pretty darn good.  I paid $2.40 for two Bi-color blue/white LEDs which are going to go on my power/eject board in my XBOX.  Now it'll match my Dreamcast which has had a blue LED for like 5 years now!  :P
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

They mention it on the main page lol.  It says "Important Notice:" then gives you the news :P  Tell me how it goes.

Wow! What an inexpensive site! Their $0.90 shipping did me right.  Too bad about having to wait, but the wait is well worth the cheap price...

well, i do have personal experience with them LOL, thats why i posted the linky folks. They are very fast shippers and all my orders have processed in a matter of minutes and have always shipped next business day. Ordered on Friday and had on Monday, so no complaints. All parts come come in their own tiny baggies.(example-- all leds in one baggy, resistors in another and are labled).

Awesome!  Anyone try Futurlec?  Ive heard good and bad about them.  Seems that people have problems when they order more than one thing, mostly with communication because they ship what they have, sometimes ship the wrong stuff, sounds unorganized.  Then again when you only order LEDs and/or resistors, etc, Ive heard good things about how they shipped so fast, so Im wonderring...

hi.
<stupid questions alert> can these wires be used to wire control pannels? does the wire size matter and is one preferred over the other?

thanks.

They can be used to wire CPs, the difference is the size.  22 gauge wire is thicker than 30 guage wire.  Im pretty sure most people use 22 guage.  I personally like 22 gauge wire better because its thicker, easier to solder to, etc.

The price there looks high.  I'd suggest ordering from Peale.  At 123leds.com you'll pat $4+shipping for 10 feet of 22gauge.  From Peale, you'll pay $5 for FIFTY feet including shipping.
