Buying a Cab, how to CYA?
« on: April 18, 2005, 06:03:23 pm »
In another thread I'm looking to possibly buy a cab that isn't local. Since my experience is limited to just small paypal and ebay sanctioned transactions I wanted some advice in covering myself from any fraud. The guy seems willing to work with me on various aspects and has been helpful. However, when it comes to sending a payment and receiving a product I'd like to make it as smooth as possible for both of us. Thanks in advance!

i'd try to pay with a credit card somehow even if through paypal. then you're always golden. the problem for the seller with paypal is that if he's not shipping somehow with a trackable online number, payment can be reversed [more easily?].

Thanks again for the advice guys, appreciate it :)

Hopefully I can get something worked out soon... it's moving slower than I'd like and it's shaking my confidence a little. Looks like another opportunity might open up though.
