FS: Partially completed cab
« on: November 21, 2002, 03:12:09 pm »
I have a cab I was working on and have partially completed, it runs MAME .61 but no artwork on cab and monitor needs to be mounted.  Unfortunately I am going to have to let it go, family emergency.

Description of the cab,:
Stern cab stripped and repainted flat black, custom built control panel and cab has been modified to fit this control panel.
AMD Athalon XP 1800 CPU
512 DDR Ram
40 Gb HDD
DVD-Rom drive,
NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX 400 with 64 Mb
Sound Blaster Live
17" Monitor (checked and the cab has room for a 25" arcade monitor of TV striped from case)
Windows XP
MAME .61 with EmuLoader
black light fixture for marquee (will hold white flourescents as well)

I will GIVE a set of ROM DVD's to whomeever buys the cab (note I am not selling these, I got them from someone on Tombstone and I feel

I have over $2000 in it at this point, am asking $1750 or best offer.

Anyone interested please e-mail me at scottie4442 at yahoo.com

Hope someone can get some enjoyment out of it.

sorry to hear about your family emergency...

May I suggest you post where the cab is located geographically and other shipping/delivery/pickup details which often help a potential buyer make a decision on large ticket/size item like this...

Personally I'm not interested, sorry... but recommend you put your general geographic location =P

good luck with everything!

sorry about that forgetting some info.

I live in NW Mississippi, about two hours south of Memphis.  I would like to sell this to someone who can come pick it up, but I will consider shipping, it just might cost a bunch as I would have to get it to Memphis, means borrowing one of my friends trucks, and then have to get it crated and shipped, so please be aware of this before you think about buying this and having it shipped as the buyer will have to pay these charges.

you are asking $1700 with a 17" monitor.

I was gonna sell(no longer) mine so i asked for $2000 and got flamed so bad that I still have burn marks on my face.Even though I was gonna include $500 brand new monitor,CP with $60 art work,24x11 marque that cost $25,golden t-molding,$150 laminate and stuff.

Just post a pic to see if anyone was interested because looks does matter :).good luck selling though ;).

sorry about this but the price should be $1250 not $1750, apparently I could not type that day.

I will try. I will say that there is no artwork on the cab, I haven't had a chance to get to that yet, and the monitor is not mounted in place.  I do have the plexiglass for the marquee and the lexan to cover the control panel.  I also have a bezel that came off the machine that I was going to clean and repaint and use.  The cab was a Stern originally and I modified it and built my own control panel, rather large and could probably fit 4 8-ways I just wasn't interested in having that many.  I built the control panel out of MDF and the rest of the cab is 3/4" plywood.  All the computer parts that I have in it now go with it, including the monitor. I will try to get pictures in the next week or so, but I have to borrow a digital camera.
