Wanted: Cab in Milwaukee area
« on: April 16, 2005, 09:53:35 am »
I need an upright cab for Mame in the Milwaukee area. Anything considered as long as the price is reasonable. I'd be willing to pay for you to drop it off if you're local since I'd have to rent a truck anyway.
TIA

ok guys I need some advice. I've been offered a gutted Atari system 1, very solid and clean for $50. Isn't that a little steep for a gutted cab no matter how nice the condition is? I'm in two minds as I really like the design of the System 1 (Roadblasters, Marble Madness etc) but it looks a little expensive to me.

50 bucks for a cab you wont have to rebuild is a good price IMHO.  I spent 150 on my showcase with a dead monitor and nothing else.

I agree with Demon here.

You get a classic design without the labor, it's a style you like, and if it's in good shape, you won't have to spend time messin' with the cosmetics.

50$ is a good deal, IMHO.

Got it tonight and boy were you guys right or were you right? I was expecting nothing but the woodwork. Still has marquee glass, light and retainers, harness for Roadblasters, transformer, coin door and the icing on the cake: I mentioned how much I liked Roadblasters so he threw in a complete and working Roadblasters CP! That's probably worth fifty bucks all by itself!  ;D 8)
