Joystick reccomendations?
« on: November 20, 2002, 01:40:36 pm »
I'm getting ready to order the joysticks for my cab. I'm going to get the Happs 8-way joystick, but was wondering what people are using. I'm not sure I see much difference between the "Ultimate" and "Competition" joysticks, and they are the same price. Anybody know the difference, or which is better?

Thanks

gtjoe

for a good review of those and the supers.  basically says that the competitions are the way to go.  ultimates do have a 4 way mode though, if you need that

I have the supers and competitions.  I prefer the competitions over the supers.  Never even considered the ultimates based on peoples opinions

Thanks gtjoe, looks like the Competitions are what I'll be getting.

Any joystick to consider would be the t-stick from Ultimarc http://www.ultimarc.com/

This is my favorite as it easily switches between 4 and 8 way with a flip of a lever on the side of the stick. Its not as good as some of the dedicated 4 ways but its the best switchable one that I've found.
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.

also nice are the perfect360s, but more (mucho ) expensive.  I've got the supers, and the only complaint I've heard from a visitor was that they know when their opponent is trying for a super move / dragonball / etc from the furious clicking ;)
another friend brought by his cp, with the perfects, and they were quiet, awesome etc... If I had the $...
