Driver problems with multiple cards in Win XP.
« on: April 11, 2005, 03:01:30 pm »
I've just finished upgrading my portable Mame machine to the following:-
Gigabyte 7zxe Mobo
Athlon 1.33ghz
320mb Ram

I started with a clean install on the hard drive of win xp home, loaded in all of the drivers for the mobo then the problems started occuring. I have have tried 3 seperate working AGP graphics cards all with the same results, every time I load in the specific driver for the Card (to enable the use of TV out) win xp will freeze on boot up requiring that I have to restart in safe mode and unistall the driver.

The cards are:-
Rage Pro TV out
Riva TNT2
Geforce 4 MX440

There is a mix of ATI and Nvidia cards there and also I have tried multiple drivers of every age to get one of these to work.

I've run out of ideas so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
