FREE in Atlanta - Euro Dig Dug Cabinet
« on: April 11, 2005, 10:56:51 am »
I was going to take this on as my next project but I have way too much going on so I'm offering it up to anyone who wants it.  Its stripped down to just the wood but is still pretty solid and would make a great base to a mame cab.   The cab was originally covered in wood grain laminate and has been painted over with black spray paint.  The paint comes off with your finger nail (as seen in one of the photos).  With some new laminate in the color of your choice, this cab could be looking good.

These euro Atari cabs had a speaker grill where the marquee typically goes and the marquee was integrated into the bezel.  The guy I got it from kept the speaker grill, marquee, control panel, etc. but I was able to trace the contour of the two metal pieces (control panel and speaker grill) so they could be fabricated at a sheetmetal shop.  The control panel might even be interchangeable with other Atari cabs (it looked very similar).  Here is a pic of what a euro Dig Dug is supposed to look like:
