p360 vs 49-way...help, i'm pulling my hair out over this!

Hello all, sorry for the one millionth joystick question, but I'm really pulling my hair out over this, I can't figure out which way I want to/should go.
 
I am building a 4 player panel, which will primarily be for fighting games and action games, (sf, mortal kombat, simpsons, ninja turtles, xmen) all sorts of stuff, that will primarily be 8-way joystick games.

I think i'm pretty set on the happs supers for p3&p4, but I can't decide for p1&p2.  I can either go p360's for them, and add a dedicated 4 way, I do have room.  Or I can go 49-way's for them to bypass having to add a dedicated 4 way.  I know 49-way are all the rage, but as it will so rarely be used for classic 4-way games, I don't know which way to go.

I know no one can really pin point "49 ways feel very close to the p360's" because it's so subjective, but as I don't have a decent arcade around here to find a 49 way, I don't really know which way to go.  They tore down the arcade in the closest mall to build a carousel...A FREAKING CAROUSEL!!

but i digress, I have no idea how to do this, I can't decide, I know it's all subjective, but what's everyone else's point of view on this?

I have no experience with the 49 way but I have two p360's and can give you a little feedback.The p360's are freaking unbelievable as 4 way for games like pac man ect,even when they are in 8 way mode.This kind of shocked me but I really questiong buying a dedicated 4 way.Have not tested them in 4 way mode because they are awesome in 8 way mode.Hope this helps.
