What cab to pick
« on: April 08, 2005, 02:11:57 am »
I have a chance to get a T2, Mspac or a Burgertime, all working what do you say.

I have a good bud that works for boomers (arcade) he has these in the warehouse ready to get rid of them all, but tells me to take one if i want, not for free of coarse but at the same price range $400.00.

I thought i would run it by you guys, although i know what im picking.  ;D

I would probably go with the T2 because of the guns. There is plenty of Ms. Pac's around and I'm not a big burgertime fan. Or you could see how much he would sell you all three in a package deal ;D

Burgertime.

Ms. Pacs are a dime a dozen, you can always find one if you want one.

T2 is big and heavy, big and heavy.

if it works, the ms. pac.........it's worth twice as much as the other two and i thnk it's a much more fun game(but that's just my opinion).

i don't think a t2 is worth $400, and that's not a great deal on the burger time either, about normal. $400 for the ms. pac(working), is a steal.

hell if your not a pac fan, you could sell it and then buy the other two. :)

I dunno, I have seen Ms. Pac going down, down, down in value lately, and the average one you find is TRASHED. Burgertimes tend to be in nicer shape.

T2 by a landslide. Its the most modern and has unique controls. The other two can easily be played with a generic control panel.
I'd take just about any game over Burgertime though. Hate that game.

Are you planning on maming it?

I don't believe any of these are jamma... so you will be doing some damage to get it working...  And I always hate hurting a classic.

But that said.  $400 is a LOT for a game to mame.. And the only time I would do it is if you REALLY like the looks (want it in your house) AND you like the original game AND you can swap back/forth between original / mame.

Also, you can say $250 or I'll just wait for the next auction to come through town.

It's not as Red, Green, Blue as just choosing one. You really have to factor in the condition of each.

Assuming they are all average/good condition, I say $400 is too much for any of those except maybe Ms Pac.

T2 probably won't fit through your front door.

Personally, I am not a big fan of Burgertime, but the cabinet shape is so unique, I would go for it anyways. (It's partly why I got myself a Crystal Castles. Wasn't my favorite back in the day, but it's a really nice cabinet).

NO MORE!!
