I don't know that Tom can/will do stainless balls- it's Specialty Plastics, after all.  On the other hand, all we really need is for him to put threads that'll match SlikStik's or GGG's balls onto the blank shafts he's currently putting his plastic balls on.  Or even just sell the shafts as they are, and we can take care of the threads ourselves.

Balls, balls, balls, BALLS!

i checked dimensions and i found that the regular williams 49-way joystick shafts, near the ball, is a 7/16ths shaft diameter, and the slikstik shaft in my p360 is a 1/2.  now that i think about it, i don't know if any of the other shafts they make (slikstik) are the right size.  i already shot tom a note about getting black plastic balltops to go with my color scheme, and asked him about the possibility of steel tops.  i fogot to ask about just getting handles, as i ment to, but i'll ask him after he gets back to me on the other stuff.

i wish slikstik would cater more to our needs with the handles they made.  i mean i know that they need to make money since they are a company, but they should be able to cover their costs at least...

The SlikStik or GGG shafts don't have to be "the right size"- they have to be "the right size" or smaller.  If you get a blank 49-way shaft, either from Tom or by taking a hammer to the ball on your stock ones, you can get a machine shop to turn it down to the appropriate size and put threads on it.  You'll have to find a machinist that's cool with doing a one-off at a decent price, though.
