nintendo buttons...
« on: March 31, 2005, 01:22:21 pm »
i tried to search, and found nothing to help with what i'm looking for, and i'm posting it here since i'm looking to buy some.

i was wondering if anyone had or knows of someone who makes reproduction black nintendo buttons.  i've found button holders everywhere on the web, so that isn't a problem.  also, mikes arcade sells reproduction buttons, but only in blue and orange, and only in a set.  this leads me to believe that someone out there makes them, and now i've just got to find them.  i'd look to ebay for buttons, but i need alot more than i've seen on ebay, so i'd hate to wait for a year before i can get all i need.  thanks guys for the help and information.

p.s.  they're smaller than normal buttons, right?  cause thats why i'm looking to get some.  also, any info on their "feel" would also be appreciated.

I am thinking your talking about buttons "A" and "B"
they look like any other buttons to me.
other than a leaf button with a bracket and a micro switch
Its the small buttons I have been looking for. "1 - 4"
I do have another set of CP's up in the attic. I think they are empty, not for sure. I will check after I get back in town. Off to pick up a mspac.
should be back by Sat. I will check then

for size, i'm comparing it to a normal happs button.  my idea was to be able to cram more buttons on a small cocktail panel and also so the buttons can be placed a bit closer together.  i know the donkey kong buttons are smaller than normal buttons, and i guess i'm applying that to all of nintendo's buttons.  i guess i'll wait for more feedback.

He's not looking for the ones on that Vs. panel- those are standard buttons, just as you thought.  Earlier Nintendo titles, like Donkey Kong, Popeye, etc. used a different button, with a smaller diameter.

Tom at Specialty Plastics makes them, at least in black, orange, and glow-in-the-dark.  If you contact him, he may or may not be albe to do other colors for you.
