If this is old news and everyone has already agreed to this panels supremacy, then I apologize.

Hmm...what's so great about it? Other than the fact that if you throw it, it'd come back to you ;)

Well, for one thing the button lay out provides a 2/3 nostalgia feel for those of us who loved Coleco.  And if you flip it around it kind of looks like breasts...from above.

no...I hate it...I saw it and felt ill.  It's hard to imagine a worse button layout for a comercial panel.

I'm one of those people that makes a friend smell spoiled milk because I just did it, so I shared this panel with you guys.  Hope you had the same reaction I did.

There's still no justification for the button Layout...Or do you know why they might have done that?

Im not sure why those butttons are setup that way, i wouldnt want to play on that, but its a mame cp people have strange ideas for mame cp 's, theres nothing like the 3-3 layout for me,, then again i have a real arcade machine, i dont need extra  buttons for keyboard presses.

I hate it how some people try to commercially produce mame control panels, well, better yet, I hate it how the people that do it seem to make the worse panels and sell them, for instance, this thing, and the X arcade....both ugly and dont go good on cabinets. Thinka the money some of us could make if we produced the panels we worked hard on and actually looked good in the end.
Coming soon: 4 player mame cab and Scratch built Moonwalker....Hall of Fame, here I come!

All that panel needs is to have one button on each side moved to the RIGHT place.

What I think panel makers need to start making is panels that fit common cabinets.

Like a standalone panel attached to its own base (like in the link above), that will unbolt from the base and fit a Midway Galapac type cabinet.

That way people could later actually move up to a real cabinet and reuse that old panel and have it look GOOD, rather than crappy.

Midway Galapac panels or Defender panels would be the best choices for this, since they are very common cabinets that are easy to locate, and easy to scratchbuild.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I vote it as close but no...

nicely done... but...

needs new screws on the joystick..  Carriage bolts are good things.

needs buttons moved.  STUPID setup now.  What do you use the top button for?  SF button configuration is only used in a TON of games... but you cant use the proper.  You don't even have neogeo working well.

IE, close... but probably being sold on ebay because they realized how useless it is when actually trying to play it with games.

It seems to be a very organic design...

First thing I thought was "construction crack"

Not really that impressed otherwise  :P
