Not sure how many people are going to be able to truthfully reply to this thread. I am betting very few people here have truly owned more than one different type of Ultimarc joystick. I personally own a pair of t-stick plus' (one of them has the light microswitches, one doesn't), and one balltop upgrade shaft for them. I also have an "E-stick" which is the same as a Happ Universal.

Since the OP said "I am looking at getting some T-Stik pluses" I think it's more realistic to do a poll that says something like

If you've tried the T-Stick Plus, did you:
(a) Think that joystick _____ was worse
(b) Think that joystick _____ was better

OR, if you're just looking for opinions about joysticks in general, I'd suggest using the search feature.  Joystick opinions get requested every few days it seems.

Also, joystick preferences can vary by game.

I like Wicos for games that require circular movement, and the T-stiks for games that require 8 distinct directions.

Competitions are good for fighters, but not so good for most other 8-way games.

Each stick really has a niche, which is why I chose to go modular.
That way I can PICK which stick to use on which game, and not have to worry about finding that one-stick-does-all solution.

In general, I like the balltop t-stick plus with standard switches. I HATED the light action sticks. Recently I had a bunch of people playing different sticks, it was a toss up between the balltop t-stick plus and the bat switch.

Also, there is no FEEL difference between the t-stick and the plus, so there's no good reason (other than price) to get JUST the t-stick. If you want underpanel adjustment, you can still do that with the t-stick plus in addition to the overpanel adjustment.

WHY?  Happs has a good reputation, so what?  I wont buy from happs because I dont like their prices :)  I know this is the wrong hobby yadda yadda, but come on.  Same buttons, cheaper, etc.  Id rather buy from starburstcoin than Happs.

I have owned Happ Ultimates, Wico Leaf, and T-Sticks....

The Happs were just ok, the T-sticks are very tight, definitely take some getting used to, my favorites are the Wico Leaf, I absolutely love 'em.

I've bought the regular T-sticks and the ball top handles, just to find out they only fit the T-stick pluses. The T-sticks microswitches are very annoying - The clicking drove me up the wall, it was also hard to play one of my more favorite 8-way games crazy climber. Happs super was better, but the cats meow are the wico's. I also have the J-stick, it plays nicely just have to change the stupid spongy spring - it feels broken / sloppy out of the box.
