My new mame source code tweak utility is available...
« on: March 24, 2005, 08:27:50 am »
Hi everyone,

I posted this in the monitor/video forum since many of the tweaks apply to improving video.

I've built a GUI utility that can apply and unapply my tweaks to MAME
0.94-0.94u5+ and you can download it at:

http://home.earthlink.net/~alank2/mame/MAMETweaks.zip
or
http://tinyurl.com/4b57c

What is nice about this is that you can apply it, compile it, and then later
on, unapply, patch to a new u revision, reapply, and then recompile.

*Also new is a couple of vector game options that allow you to specify the
actual beam color for black and white games and a way to brighten the
intensity of cinematronics black and white vectors.

Uh, any chance you could give me/post the original source you found those patches at? I know there was a website that listed all the patches and how to apply each one manually. The reason I'm asking is because I am recompiling an older version of mame (between 0.36 - 0.60) and would like to do it myself.

I believe you hosted them at http://home.earthlink.net/~alank2/mame/custommame.htm but that page isn't up anymore and I don't have a copy of it.

Thanks,
Twist
