Free Cabinet - Springfield, MO
« on: March 22, 2005, 06:31:53 pm »
I have an Empty Stern Cabinet (Moon Wars) up for grabs... Just come and get it. I will throw in a pair of Stern coin doors (1 Good, 1 bent) for $20. This will cover what I have in them. The Cabinet has been shortened by about 3" (previous owner) It still has the casters on the bottom. It has laminate glue residue on both sides, but it seems to come off pretty easy. I think the art can be saved.

If you can't find ANYONE to pick it up then list it on ebay for $1. I have done that at least a half dozen times, and it always worked, usually I actually get like $20.

if this is the cab i think it is....  i'll just mention that it was only shortned by about an inch/ inch and a half. and that was only done to remove some bad wood at the bottom(it was pretty rotten).

the cab is solid as a rock and would make a great project.

Yes it is and thanks again. You did a fine job of removing the bad stuff. Crsdawg gave this to me for a project and it had some dry rot/water damage at the bottom. It would be an easy fix if you wanted to lengthen it back or will work just fine as-is. I was going to set this up for my church youth group, with a jakks controller or something, but they wanted one with an upright monitor so the other teens could see what is going on, so I accomodated them. It would make a great vertical cab, with all the classics. and that cool Stern art would look nice with red t-mold ;)

I have a friend at work that may take it, but it is still up for grabs until he commits. If not I will stick it on EBAY or just mothball it for a while.

Two weeks ago I would have taken that off your hands.  I'm going to Poplar Bluff to pick up a non-working Choplifter this weekend to fool around with though.  Just thought I'd drop a note, being a fellow Springfieldian.

I live in Bolivar, and would love to pick that up, and grab those coin doors as well.  PM me with directions and I'll take it off your hands!
