If I wanted to get one of these power entry modules do I need a 1 pole or a 2 pole?  And what's that mean? :)

Two pole is only really needed if you're running at 220 volts, or if you don't trust you're wiring.
Most cabs use dual pole, but plenty of operators did hack wiring jobs.

Go with 2 pole unless the price is terrible.
