Free gutted Sprint 2 + a few games for sale
« on: March 20, 2005, 04:41:08 pm »
Free gutted Sprint 2 cabinet, everything is missing except the board cage and wiring harness. Sideart is nice and it has a monitor shelf.

Sega Turbo cabinet. No boards, no monitor, missing the encoder wheel on the steering wheel assembly. It is externally complete and I think it has all the wiring inside (not 100 percent sure that it is all there). Nice artwork. $30

Amazing maze cabinet. Has small VGA monitor installed (working), has all artwork and the original control panel (populated). Also has an unpopulated fighter panel. No coin door (it takes a square one, the midway style fits). It is in pretty nice shape. $60

Black painted Outrun cabinet, has the pedals (unknown working condition), and the coin doors (everything has been robbed off the back of them though). This cab will convert to a fighter cab pretty easily (someone else here did it and it looked pretty good). I don't think it has anything besides the pedals and coin doors. $20

Complete and working "Chicken Machine" plastic egg vending machine in good shape. $50

Complete Star Rocket EM game. Glass is flaking, all the coils and such seem to work and the machine powers up but it won't start a game. $50

Sorry no pics, I lent my camera to a friend vacationing out of the country for a month.

These are the last batch of my project cabs, there probably won't be any more after this since I no longer own a truck and thus have no way to pick this stuff up from my contacts anymore.

Ooops, sorry. I am in St. Louis, MO.

I no longer have a truck either, so I can neither deliver locally, nor to superauctions or forward air like I used to.

Yes I still have the chicken machine. Not going to be of much use to me in the next 6 or so years, unless I meet someone, get married and have some kids and have them instantly grow up to be 4 years old really fast.

I don't have any. I went out to look for some when I first bought it, but it was nowhere NEAR Easter at the time, so no place had any.

I will still pay $10 for a video of the Chicken Machine burning while the chicken squawks his last.  I hate that thing.

I would be interested in the chicken thing at the least (It works correct?).  I think my little brother would get a kick out of it.

You going to the auction on the 9th of April?

Yes, I'm going, but I don't have a truck anymore, I'll have to see if it will fit in my car. Yes, it works fine.

Let me know if it doesnt, I'll stop by and pick it up.  It wouldnt be until next weekend though (out of town this weekend).

If you need anything from the auction, let me know, as I'm sure I can get my dad to drop ti at my house, and then I will bring it over to you. (more space in his truck)

Actually mild update, I realized I can't go to the auction because I agreed to work for someone that weekend and didn't realize it was auction weekend until about 2 minutes after I posted my last response.

I had no plans on buying anything at the auction anyway, unless there was a Turbo mini or Monaca GP mini, because those will fit in a car.

Actually, if you are for sure going (do you have a cell phone?) Then you can call me from the auction and give me a quick report on any mini cabs there? Turbos or otherwise?

Sure, I will definetly be going, setting aside money, and plan to buy at least one cheap refurb'able cab, so send PM me a detailed list (or similar) and your number, and iwill call.  i will be there about 9:30 so I can take a quick look for a cab for you.

The list is really short.

Anything in a CLEAN 13" mini cabinet (vertical only). Neo Geo 2-Slot DEDICATED (must be nice too).

For a clean mini with a working vertical monitor $75 (game itself need not work, a game with garbage on the screen that shows the monitor has a good picture would be fine). $125 if it is a working Turbo or Monaco GP.

If there is a dedicated Neo Geo 2 slot, well, I would need a really good description before I could price it. They are easy to spot, they are in big cabinets that are all red. A dedicated 25" 2 slot is a lot like buying a Pac-Man or Burgertime or anything else high dollar, it might be worth $200, it might be worth $600.

Phone number sent via PM.

I might also just no-sleep it and go to the auction anyway, but I have to work 10PM - 8AM the night before and the night after. I could probably leave work an hour early and go in an hour late that night, so I MIGHT be able to make it. If so then I would pretty much be willing to trade the chicken machine in exchange for hauling home the Neo Geo and/or mini that I hope to buy.

If I could be back home and in bed by 5 PM then I can go. Might be doable, I am used to selling stuff, and when you sell stuff you don't end up back home until somewhere around the 9PM to midnight time frame.
