Home Video Poker Machine

I've read the old threads but I don't have enough information yet.
I'd like to build a home video poker machine which accepts quarters and actually pays out quarters.
I've seen various postings for different software, wondering if there is one software which would be ideal for this? 
Also, any information on what type of coin op. system would be needed and where to find that?
Other than that I know I can get the Happs buttons and what not.
I've build a MAME cabinet so I'm thinking this could be an easy project, but I'm particular that I want it to be able to accept and payout quarters.

I would just buy a machine that is all setup to pay out , you could always customize it any way you like , i remember playing arlington horse racing in the arcade that payed out quarters. i would like to find one of those.

If you really like a certain video poker tv system thing (that comes with a controller, etc), you could hack the controller and use your own buttons, them either make a case or take an existing one.  Just a thought.

I bought a fully working video poker machine at Superauctions a few years ago for $50, it was in nice shape too.

Ones that actually have a hopper that pays out quarters are really expensive, and hard to find because they are illegal almost everywhere.

What is easy to find is the grey market poker machines that take quarters but don't have a hopper, the bartender/attendant hits a switch on the back to knock the credits down to zero and then pays out the person by hand. Bingo pinballs worked the same way.

He should be able to find one that pays out tokens and then he could change it to quarters.
