Tron Joystick
« on: March 12, 2005, 06:31:52 pm »
Could someone possibly get me some pic's on a Tron Joystick.  Mostly interested in the hand grip.  Also if you could possibly get me a pic of the Hand Grips out of a manual.

I have about 10 New sets of Hand Grips that might possibly work on Tron.  The only difference is my grips are black.

Thanks,

Ponyboy

heres a link to the manual for tron...

http://www.arcadedocs.com/vidmanuals/T/Tron.pdf

also, on page 65, there seems to be a good pic of just the handle, or at least the best pic out of the whole manual.  nice find, i'm sure alot of BYOACer's wont mind the black handles.   ;)

This auction is over, but it has a pic of a Tron CP with a black handle.  If your handles are the same, I would definately be interested.

All those old Midway trigger sticks used the same grips, the only thing different about the grips on Tron was the special UV reactive blue plastic.  Happ still sells them in black only, here's their exploded view, with part#s

http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/50997000x.htm

They currently charge $6.25 per grip half.

Have you got the trigger & trigger mechs, thumbswitches, thumbplates, etc?  I've got two sets of grips with no guts.

The Happ ones are slightly different from the actual tron sticks.

not like it has anything to do with this thread, but that ebay auction was from one of our own, 1hookedspacecadet.  someone could shoot him a message if they wanted to know more about the stick...

here is the handles on a Tron stick
also compaired to a xenophobe,
the only thing I can find differant is the diamond cut on the sides are not as deep as the originals.
no big deal.
I guess I might as well toss these old blue ones. Trash day .  ;)
