My father and I have looked at that a lot over the past few years.  Mostly because they planned to come out with an adapter for DCC so you can use it to actually run model trains. The adapter isn't out yet however, and it's been "coming soon" for quite a while now.

 It's a very cool controller, but it's a bit too pricey for us considering we're not really sure how well it'll work.
