Arrested Development BEST SHOW ON TV
« on: March 11, 2005, 09:15:31 pm »
There are rumors FOX might cancel it. The first time in YEARS that American television has had a smart comedy, and it's on the chopping block.

If I see another show with a wacky fat guy schlub and his pretty wife "Just trying to raise their kids" I'm going to vomit.

Who the hell watches crap like According to Jim, Yes Dear, etc? These must be the same dolts that make a movie like "Hitch" a hit.

Until people demand better, they will keep serving up the same old crap. Sad.

Just venting.

You want a show that will blow your socks off, watch Trailer Park Boys. Everything else is just run-of-the-mill sitcoms.

Once they stopped Beavis and Butthead, it was all over for me, although The Simpsons are a more "family friendly pc version" of 'em.

There's something to be learned from a show that isn't afraid to (and is willing to do it OFTEN!) say "POOP"!

And talk about the original Mr Mackey.....mmkay?

That show BROUGHT it, G.

I loved B&B.  I continue to catch Simpsons whenever I see that it's on, and southpark can be surprisingly clever...

but TPB...

They said they can't even show it in the US without the bleeps.  The guys that make the show say they don't know if it's funnier with the bleeps or without... I tend to like the super-duper-exaggerated 'realness' of the show.  Like the guy that makes a living stealing shopping carts from the mall, fixing them, and then selling them back to the same mall.  Class-ick

If Fox comes up with a good show, it is almost guaranteed they will cancel it prematurely.  Although, if they think they can make enough money on it, they might bring them back.  Family Guy is supposed to be coming back!

I agree wholeheartedly.  Just ask my avatar. :-)  (The "I Love Juice" was from Best Man for the GOB and the photo is from Staff Infection - both fine episodes... heck, they're all top notch).  Hopefully, they'll rally in the remaining episodes or they'll get a last minute renewal.

I urge everyone to rent, buy, or borrow the season one DVDs.  Quality entertainment.
