FS: Killer Instinct Cab (Parts?) in DFW
« on: March 09, 2005, 08:42:24 am »
I'm currently in the process of parting out a Killer Instict I cab... (incomplete monitor, messed up art, not worth it to me to restore)

The cab is very solid, but you can tell it had been well used. (Scratches, dinged up t-molding, torn art, etc...)

Most of the side art is in tact, but there are a few spots where people took it upon themselves to "add to the art" (The skeleton now has a "third leg" ::)) & there are a few spots that just have a small piece torn away.  It's sad really....

I'll get pics posted tonight.

I'd like to sell the items listed below together, but I've got no shame & will part it out if I don't have a buyer by the middle of next week.

Monitor is not available at this time... I'm getting it fixed.

Asking Price(s):
Empty cab: $50 (Includes CP [no controls], JAMMA+ wiring, monitor glass, no coin door)
Coin Door: $25
NOS Killer Instinct CPO (not yet applied): $27.50
Vinyl Marquee: $15
Monitor Bezel: $20

Take it all: $100

Like I said, I'm gonna hold out for a week to see if I can sell it all together, but if that doesn't work out I'll start parting it out.

Shipping costs are not included. I really rather not ship the cabinet... (although I could be convinced to remove the CP & ship it)

I'm in South Arlington if you want to come by & see it.

I'm new to all this, but basically it's the entire shell with the 100 bucks, but you get no controls and no monitor? But bascially everything else?
I'm a teacher on a quest to build one kickin' cab with my kids

What type of coin door is it?  I'd be interested if it's an over/under and you don't sell the whole thing.  I have to come over to south Arlington to pick up some furniture at Rooms2Go in a week or so..that might be perfect.

I'm interested.  I might be able to come up this weekend and take the whole thing.  I'm right outside of Houston, but I'll make the trip if I can see some pics.  If you'd be interested in meeting halfway I'll buy your gas / some lunch / maybe a few beers?  Send me an e-mail: mike_manders@hotmail.com

I got enough for half of your cab if nobody else buys it ill take it all unless you would consider a down payment and some sort of trade.

Correct.  For $100, I'd leave the wiring, coin door, and power supply in the cab. But there'd be no game PCB or monitor.

It's the same cabinet & coin door as seen on KLOV.  Not an over/under coin door... It's 2 seperate wide doors w/ 2 coin slots on the top door.

I will unfortunately be out of town this weekend... (5 Yr anniversary, going to a B&B...) If you REALLY need to come this weekend, I might be able to work something out with getting a family member to be at the house when you get there to get it.  I've sent you a PM.

Hm... You're second in line behind AceTKK. If he decides he doesn' want it (or can't get it) I'll let you know.

Thanks for the interest guys.  As of right now, I'm talking with AceTKK to see if we can work out a deal, if that falls through for any reason, I'll keep you updated.

As it turns out I won't be able to take this one after all.  After looking at the cost of renting a truck/trailer to pickup the machine it just wouldn't make sense.  I hope it goes to a good home.
