I'll be ordering a WG D9200 by mid-April & these brackets surely look like the perfect match for my project. Consider another pair sold once I purchase the monitor.

That picture shows a monitor with "universal" mounting frame installed on the bracket. What about those folks who have a monitor with standard horizontal "shelf" mounting. Shelf mount have the mounting holes spaced much diifferently than your mounting brackets. Are you selling two different brackets? Or are people with shelf mount out of luck?

If your bracket is only for mounting a universal frame monitor then your advertising should make that very clear.

I didn't know any shelf mount 27" monitors existed. All I have seen are the universal mounts. Learn something every day I suppose. Ken, does any manufacturer currently make a shelf mount 27"? Could be a better option for some projects.

Wells makes the 27" in horiz mount by special order. There were some of the old k7000 series built in 27" AND in horiz mount!

Okay....I just pulled the TV I'm going to use out of its case to measure the mounting brackets. I'm a little concerned about the brackets on my monitor not matching up correctly with your panels. Can you tell me if this will be compatible with your brackets? The inside width of my cab should be okay at 26 1/2" (I'll have to add some material between the sides panels and the brackets, of course), but I'm concerned about the space between the top and bottom mount on your brackets not matching up with the top and bottom mount for my monitor. I've attached a diagram of a front-fiew of my decased tv-monitor. Can you tell me if this will be compatible with your brackets?

(I suppose I could have PM'd you with this, but it seemed like a good excuse for a bump

Can I have mine as one peice. I can always cut them if needed. I think they would be stronger as a single unit.

This may be obvious to you already, but I thougt I'd mention it, just in case....simply cutting it in half will work for those who need them to be taller than they are, but will not work for people like me who need them to be shorter than they are. They will actually need to have a section cut out of the middle, I guess. Otherwise, the two pieces would overlap eachother.

These will replace the one piece design. With the sections securely bolted together, they serve the same function, and in fact, may be more secure when mounted due to the extra mounting holes.

Just an update for all those who have ordered so far: We have received most of the components for the brackets, we are now waiting on equipment and raw materials which are due to arrive late next week. We will begin production as soon as everything arrives, so the brackets should start shipping in 10-14 days.

Thanks for the feedback! I hope you were able to figure out the locations for all 16 wood screws (8 of them go through the slots, into the holes behind the adjustment plate). I just finished a manual today that should help in the future.

I am totally out of stock on my first 10 units! Hopefully there will be enough interest to do a larger run. Thanks for all the orders.

I just got my mounting brackets. They look great and are very solid. I'm considering taking them into a welder and having lips welded on to the front of the bottom brackets to hold some tinted glass. If I do I'll take pictures to show how it works out. Can anybody think of anything I should keep in mind when doing this? I'd hate to have it welded on only to realize it should have been done differently or I needed a bigger lip or something.

Welding can cause heat warping of the metal. Its more likely the thinner the metal is. Just be careful you don't want to ruin them.

Don't weld- JB Weld!

Real welding may be a bit of overkill for a sheet of glass whose weight will not even be resting against the welds. Why pay a welder?

Hey 1UP, this should work for a standard 19" arcade monitor right?

I've been thinking about fixing my double dragon2. The main problem with it is the monitor mount is cracked and broke. The part on the cabinet the board slides in is busted and the board itself is cracked. I know it's just a couple of pieces of wood that could easily be replaced. However a metal solution would be more sturdy and that would never happen again. It would just be a matter of figuring out where to mount the brackets so the monitor is in the same position as it should be (so the monitor lines up with the bezels and such).
