Room for rent: St. Louis
« on: March 09, 2005, 02:24:16 am »
Posting this again with pictures of the apartment. Most of you (from this forum) probably know a bit about me already but I am going to put some more info here as I will likely send a link to this thread to potential roommates from other forums and such.

email is paigeoliver@gmail.com

I am 27, male, straight and single. I am looking for a straight male or straight female roommate under 30. Students are fine.

I live in Florissant, MO in an apartment. The rent will be $300 a month and that will include all utilities including high speed internet (which may or may not be installed by the time you move in, I will be ordering it soon). I probably even have an extra computer laying around if you don't already have one.

The living room has a 32" TV, DVD/mp3/mpeg/vcd player and VCR. Along with 5 arcade games.

The bedroom that is available is 11x10 and has a large closet. There is a washer and dryer down in the basement.

As you can see from the pictures I have a few arcade games in the living room, I generally only turn them on when someone wants to play them, I don't leave them on all the time. I can show you how to turn them on and off, it is really easy.

I work 3rd shift as a hotel auditor, and thus I often sleep during the daytime, but I sleep at night on the weekends. This only way this would even effect a potential roommate was if they were someone who tends to be both at home and loud during the week.

As far as visitors go, I tend to have some from time to time, and I expect the same from you, but I am not looking for a roommate who has 4 or 5 people hanging around ALL THE TIME. If you have any particular people who you think will be visiting frequently then I would like to meet them as well.

I am not a bible thumper, but I am a Christian and a church member and all I ask out of a potential roommate is that they be drug free and that their significant other is not spending the night ALL THE TIME.  And on a non-theological note I am simply not going to be compatible with anyone who likes to listen to rap music all the time, other than that I am fairly open.

That is me on the left in the first picture.

Gaaah!  Why must you torment me!  I'd pay $300 a month just to be able to play all those games  :o !

Seriously, though, hope you find a good roomate.  :)

Don't worry. A hooker won't stay the night anyway.

Well there ya go. It was right out front there so it wouldn't be a problem later.
The project of finding a room mate must be a pretty dauting one, considering the number of loons out there.

Yes, that is my main thing, and I felt I needed to be up front about it. I stopped sleeping around 3 or 4 years ago and decided not to have sex again until I get married (because I believe in those values and want a woman with those same values).

I do not require those same values out of a potential roommate, but someone who is having girls/boys spending the night all the time is just going to make me bitter and or make me regret my decision, which has been difficult at times.

Also, I once had a roommate whose girlfriend spent the night one night and never left, she was with us for 18 months until they broke up.

When you put it that way I totally understand where you're coming from. The same happened to me back when I was single and living with a room mate.

Good luck finding a roommate paige.  I know it can be tough.  I'm still glad I lucked out with my college roommate, who I actually get a long with great.  Luck of the draw I suppose in that case, but my luck usually doesn't go that way.

Either way though.. I think it's worth the $300 a month just to play on that Neo29.  I want one so bad.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Of course... If you get a roomate with a girlfriend...

you could just go to your mame machine and play some good old adult qix clones :)

That should take the...edge... off

Room is no longer available. The very first guy I interviewed was more than fine, has a lot of similar interests.
