I'm not into the "scene", so what's the modchip that works best for a PsTwo slim?

Don't worry.  Apparently the original poster of this thread isn't into the arcade 'scene' and only signed up to pimp his crap.  Kinda like this guy here pimping his eBay auctions.

Best modchip for PS TWO slim is the Magic V KX+ but the new slim line PS TWOs do require a "fix" so the modchip is only as good as the "fix" you install to prevent it from benig damaged.

Wow, you guys are being a little harsh here aren't you? Yeah, he's only here to sell his product, but it's not like he's selling timeshare condos or something. This is actually a product that people here are likely to be interested in.

Yeah, probably.  But it does tend to get a little excessive when someone comes along, signs up just to pimp their stuff and takes off.  I don't really know if people are that likely to be interested in mod chips here.  There's been a couple of posts in the Consoles forum about modding but I wouldn't say it's overwhelming.

When I have XBOX items for sale, I don't even think about listing them here but instead list them over at X-S.  Likewise, I don't go listing arcade parts over there.

Maybe you should. I've bought a lot of console stuff here and a lot of arcade stuff on other boards.

I will if I think that there is an interest in it.  For example, I sold a PSP to Gozur because I figured there might be an interest for that.  In fact, I'm going to list another PSP and a Dreamcast but that's because I think people would be interested in those.  But I have an X3 for sale that I won't list because I just can't see an interest for it here.

But okay, I'll 'try' and play nice

any ps1 products?  Preferably swap disks or  game genie style modchips that allow cd-r backups without soldering?

It depends on which model PS2 you have, but for v1 - v10 we now have the Duo 2 SE and that should work on your machine since you said its not a PS TWO / mini.
