After buying my DVD burner, I looked for disc recommendations/problems here to suss out what you all find works best.  Then, I went behind your backs and checked out the internet for more info ;D

Many folks seem to have good experiences with Ritek here, but the people with problems have invariably seemed to be using Ritek's as well.  While I realize not everyone here will RTFM, and will think they're doing everything right (thereby ruling out the DISC as the problem, and the actual problem being PEBKAC ::) ) the main reason I've seen given for using them is ease of availability. 

Perhaps the article will clear some stuff up for you, explain some stuff you didn't know, or give you some stuff to help you make your mind up.  Whatever it does, I simply point to it to share something I found that may make your life easier.  I'll be going to NewEgg to buy Taiyo Yuden's unless I find out there are issues with them too/they start to slip/something better comes out.
