  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Ipac4 vs. 2xMinipac for newbie 4-player CP maker
« on: March 05, 2005, 11:14:41 am »
Hello,

As the subject says, this is my first control panel and cabinet so I starting from near scratch (I have read the "Project Arcade" book).

My control panel will be similar to the Project arcade panel, except I plan to use the USB/PS2 versions of the trackball/spinner (won't need to go through the PCB) and add on 2 more joysticks with 4 buttons for a total of 4 players.

I am new to wiring a control panel and obviously like the pre-made wiring harnesses, but am concerned if it will be harder to configure with 2 Minipacs.  Also, as a new builder, would I have any problems with the hand wiring for the Ipac4.

Thanks for any help in advance,
Tom
