Trackball - What is this?

FOund this when I was browsing for trackballs

It appears that the connector is a RJ45/11 jack, like on a network card or telephone. The spec sheet is a bit fuzzy, but I think I can make out the pin assignments(bottom, just left of center) and it looks like 8 pins, x1,x2,y1,y2,gnd are the only ones I can sorta make out

Just wondering if anyone has run across this particular interface, or has a ball like this. How are they, can they conenct to a Optipac, etc

Be careful of these, a few years back when I was searching for a trackball I bought a couple off of ebay that looked a lot like these that were complete pieces of sh*t.  Seems they were used in medical equipment (ultrasound machines) and were all rusty and didn't spin worth a darn.  I then discovered Betson/Imperial and all was well again... ;D
