Can anyone in St. Louis area weld or install laminate.
« on: March 02, 2005, 11:23:14 pm »
I have a few control panels that I want the old holes welded up on, and I have a cocktail I would like to install laminate on.

I would be willing to trade a complete project game for laminate installed on the cocktail, and would be willing to trade something cool for the welding (you need not clean it up, just weld some sheet metal on the bottom, I can bondo it from there).

Ok, someone on another forum pointed me to a link showing me how to JB weld up the panels, so I won't need that service anymore, but I would still like to get new laminate installed on my Dunk Shot cocktail and will trade a complete Sprint 2 needing PCB repair for the service.

Hi I work for a cabinet shop as a draftsman and just recently learned to laminate and I can borrow all the necessary tools. Im about to laminate the TMNT cabinet I bought off of you I just finished stripping and bondoing it. I would definately do yours for a sprint 2 machine.

Ok, great does it take a long time? Can you do it at my place or do I have to bring it to you? What colors do you have?

Also, I have 1 and a half sprint 2 machines and 3 boardsets in total. You can pick and choose your parts to put together the best one between the two of them.

not to step on anyones feet, but you guys make laminating sound like rocket science.  is there something special i'm missing in this conversation?

you rough cut the sheet, glue it down, and then go around the edge with a flush trim router, or round it over, if thats what you want.  am i just missing something?  well, i guess it doesn't matter too much, just wondering if i wasn't hearing something right.

I'm converting it, Dunk Shot is a naff game and mine has no innards. The reason I need the laminate is because I removed the big plastic marquees that stick out on the sides.

Thanks for the offer though.

As far as laminating, I know it isn't that hard, but I have more projects than I want to deal with and thought I might be able to kill two birds with one stone.
