Has anyone ordered from Ultimarc before?
« on: March 02, 2005, 07:20:54 pm »
OK I know tons of you have. Does anyone know if those of us in the us have to pay anything to DHL when it arrives, Duties, Fees Ect. I know that if I were to send something to Canada they have to pay it there.
                                                                                          Thank you.

Try emailing andy@ultimarc. He should be able to help you out when he has time.

I ordered pretty much one of each from them on Monday and received it yesterday. Although I live in the UK.
I think that any additional charges are covered during the checkout process but you could always email DHL. They will probably know.

I didn't touch it....honest!

I ordered my IPAC a few months back.  There was no further payment other than what I sent to Ultimarc.  Andy took car of everything.  The shipping was also lightning fast!

IF it is determined that the item imported is due import fees, THEN DHL will mail you a bill seperately (won't be much).

I have bought from Andy twice now and the items arrive fast.  There are no additional fee's.  You just pay online and your stuff arrives!  I live in Florida too, so the quick shipping was suprising!

I've never paid fees for Ultimarc orders and I'm in California. I've never paid fees on ANY of the international items I've ordered for that matter..... from Canada, Australia, Italy, the UK and Germany.

I just ordered from them recently to here in the States.  DHL did require a signature and no one was home to do so.  They left a little hangy on my doorknob ( :P) that I could sign and they would leave it at the door.  I was around the next day to sign for it, so no worries.

I'm not sure if you can set somthing up before hand where they would just leave it at the door when they come round the first time.  Very quick shipping with no other fees then what you pay at check out.

I ordered a couple of things at different times from Ultimarc.  I had to pay additional duties on 1 out of 4 packages I recieved.  The duties where around $30 (PST/GST + Custom Charges)

As far as signing for things go, I always have everything delivered to my work, so someone will always be there to sign for it, and none of my low life neighbors will steal the package from in front of my door if the delivery man does leave it,

The first time I ordered from Andy, I paid duty (I live in Canada). 2nd time, no duty. I think it is Random in Canada.

I live in Delaware, U.S. I just got a package the other day, no problems. Like everyone else says, super fast shipping. Whatever Ultimarc's website quoted me for everything was all I paid.

I've actually had things from Andy arrive quicker than things I've ordered from the same state I'm in.

He's super fast and takes care of everything.

Thanks Guys

I had contemplated doing that or asking one of my friends who would know. But I figured it may be a question others are wondering and worthwile to post where others could see.

Yes.  I got nailed both times I ordered from ultimark.  Most recently was a couple of ipacs i got before christmas.  The DHL bill just came this week, so they are about 3 months late.  its less than $10 though so not a big deal.

I live in Texas, and I didn't have to pay anything extra on delivery.  And the others are correct about the shipping.  It was very fast.  I've ordered *a lot* of things from businesses here in the States that were not delivered as fast as my IPACs.

If it gets tagged.. you'll pay GST/PST/Customs on the Canadian value of the goods.

I've ordered 3 times from Ultimarc and let me say that they are great! Their customer service (like when you order the wrong thing, oops) is outstanding!

I never once paid DHL anything. They just drop it off at my door and I find it on my step when I get home.

It isn't really random (taxes and duty in Canada), but
Working: Not Enough
Projects: Too Many
