100 Bucks, Plus the 5 or whatever to ship it.. exact shipping cost, no "guess" for shipping..

Used for 1 week, includes box, cables, install disk..

Built by ATI, not a 3rd party card..

ill get picks up this week.. ^_^

This board gets first crack at it before it goes to locals or other boards..

I'm not personally interested, but you are priced at about $30 over the going ebay rate.

Most are either overclocked flashed cards, or Saphire.. the one or two on there are well used cards..

The one im selling, might as well be new.. it was ran for litterally 1 week, in a machine thats never on..

again, its BUILT BY ATI, and its never been unlocked, overclocked, or tinkered with beyond hooking it up and running it..

http://www.pricewatch.com/h/prc.aspx?i=37&a=5601

there a hot commodity.. a 100 bucks and you can "unlock" them to 9700Pros.. there hard to find..

Oh, ok. I am not a video card expert anyway, I just searched past auctions for the name of the card. The 9xxx series has always confused the heck out of me anyway since the highest numbers aren't the best cards, well, it is just confusing.

Understandable..

Computers is my thing.. 12 years building and repairing.. lol

just trying to give this card a home that it will get used..

for the 9500 pro, on the ram chips on the front of the card, are all 4 chips on the top in a straight line over the heatsink, or are there 2 chips on the top and 2 chips on the right side?  Also, can you read the speed of the ram ie 3.0ns 3.3ns  Thank you

You will never get the 3.3 to 9700 speeds and be stable.

Sure you can flash it to run 8 pixel pipelines, but you can't unlock a 3.3 to a 9700, it won't run at the same speed.

that is a great graphics card, i have one of the 3.0 ones, i was looking for another one.  softmodded, this card will give any 9600 Pro or XT a run for the money.

if you dont know how to cool your system yes itll be unstable..

but assuming the person unlocking it isnt a complete tool, and knows about cooling, there not going to attempt it without ramsinks anyways..

and i wont be dropping it..

Built by ATI 9500Pros are 170 bucks still.. why? i dunno, they just are..

and FYI, a NO NAME rosewell 9600xt is 131 bucks.. not 100..

Built by ati is still 160..

and i know, lots of you guys do the whole "ebay" thing with hardware.. i dont, and dont take ebay prices into account.. Buying computer hardware on ebay is playing russian roulette with your system, and i dont take those chances..

sorry man, you won't be softmodding a 3.3ns 9500, no way, no how.  I had 3 9500's in my time, two 3.0s, and one 3.3.  The 3.3 won't do what the 3.0 does at all.  Read up on anandtech or [H]ardforum if you'd like.  You might get a decent overclock though.

And I agree they are great cards.. but yours is priced a bit high.

And where do you see 9500pros for 170?  that is way overpriced.. and not the normal going rate AT ALL.  Heck, you can get a Sapphire 9600XT for 135 bux or less...

They won't sell new boxed ones online because its discontinued.  They don't make 9500Pros anymore.  It's right on ati's site.

I'm not knocking you, I think its a good card.  And I build and sell computers too.  I was just saying that that ram (the 3.3ns) is not really suited for the softmod compared to the 3.0.  You will have trouble with artifacting more likely than not on any type of cooling.  You also won't get the memory speeds that you'd want.

As far finding people selling a 9500 pro online for less.. you're right, I can't ... cuz as I said... the card is discontinued.  However, you can get a Sapphire 9550 on NewEgg for 83 bux, or a Sapphire 9600 PRO for 99.  Under 100 bux... ;)  Or a Sapphire 9600 PRO 256mb card for 108.

What's this "just to let everyone know" crap?  It's not your thread, hence it's not your place to say what he needs to price it at.  Read the rules about thread poisoning/crapping.

SOAPboy:  contact a mod and see if they can't remove some of the posts that don't contribute to your thread (mine included).

Did you even read the rules that you linked to?  It's fine to say that someone's price is a bit high and to give people alternatives... which is exactly what was done.  Sure, his saying "he should price at 75" may not be the best to say.. but offering alternatives or other prices is fine.

Wouldn't you be upset if you bought this card only to find out you could get a newer, faster card for the same amount or less?

Well, my post wasn't aimed at you but yes, I did read the rules.

Quote
  • No illegal activity -- No copyright violations, no selling or trading for which you do not have a legal right to do so, etc...
  • No spam -- Multi level marketing schemes (pyramid schemes), scams, etc...
  • No reporting of MAME/roms ebay auctions.  Just report them to ebay.
  • No thread poisoning.  Thread poisoning occurs when a person comes into a thread and posts something contrary to the spirit/intent of the thread.
These don't mean you can't debate the merits of something for sale, build vs buying, etc... Telling someone they're on crack and berating them for ripping off the public because you can do it yourself for less, however, goes against the grain of how this forum runs.

Example:  Dude, you're a crook!  $1000 for an arcade cab?  I built my own for $25! ... Bad
Example:  The link you posted for the 27" monitor for $400 is more expensive than this link for the same thing for $350... OK

Don't be afraid to help each other avoid getting ripped off, but be polite about it please.  Thanks!

I didn't find one area where it says you that if you think someone's price is too high you can give people other options.  It's his FS thread and he can ask however much he likes.

As for being upset if I bought this card only to find it priced lower elsewhere.  Unless I already know what something's worth, I don't just blindly buy things.

I know it wasn't directed at me, it just seemed to me like your link to the rules didn't really help your statement.

The rules say "Don't be afraid to help each other avoid getting ripped off, but be polite about it please."  I didn't really see that post as rude by saying that his card was overpriced compared to the market.  I see no difference in that and, say, me telling you not to go to Best Buy cuz Circuit City has the same TV for $100 less.  Seems to me like that kind of statement is only helping out.

Of course it's his card, and he can charge $1000 if he'd like, and if he sells it, good for him.  I just don't see what's wrong with stating that the average market price is much lower than his asking price.

Anyway, I feel bad still posting here cuz I honestly didn't mean my posts (can't speak for others) as a blow to SOAPboy.  I see this done a lot on other forums, and its happened to me, and the gesture is usually appreciated since it would help to sell the item quicker, and put it more in line with other used prices.

It's a great card.  Someone would be making a good move buying it.  SOAPboy, if you want me to delete my posts, let me know.  I honestly was only trying to help you see that your info is a bit off.  I think we both know these cards are NOT worth $170, no matter what site has them listed for that.  You build computers.. you know the price plummets video cards go through... that's the only reason I mentioned this.

I agree.  If someone was to advise me on an item I was selling, I would take it into consideration (of course, I always check what the going rate is and cut it by 5-20 dollars.)  Anyhow, I am done harping on about this.  Good luck with your sale SOAPboy.

I normally check ebay and set my price at the going rate and INCLUDE shipping in the price, or I drop by 10-15 percent.
