Steering wheel controlled by mouse?
« on: February 26, 2005, 08:53:26 pm »
Is it possible to connect an arcade wheel to one of the axis/rollers on a mouse, if so would it be very accurate?

Im sure you can use a steering wheel just as you would use a spinner, may need to mod it though for the encoder wheel to work right.

Spinners, 360 degree (not 270 degree) steering wheels, and trackballs all work like a mouse.  There are three popular ways to hook them up-

1. The Opti-Pac
2.  An Oscar mouse hack
3.  a do-it-yourself mouse hack, which I don't have a ready link for.
