Let me start again, my last message posted before I was done!!
I'm selling my WG 19" U3100 monitor which has the better grade A quality RCA tube. It was purchased new for $337 (not refurbished) and is a great monitor. I think they make the monitor in two variations, a grade B tube (orion?) and the grade A tube (rca). I'm not sure if the electronics are different between them, I read in a post that the RCA model has better electronics, but who knows. I am selling it to the first person who contacts me for $175 plus shipping. I will accept Paypal as payment to a confirmed address only. I think shipping to most locations in the US (I am only selling to someone inside the US) is about $25 via fedex ground. If you send me your ZIP code I'll let you know what the shipping costs would be exactly.
The monitor is in perfect condition and probably has around 200-300 hours use on it. I didn't typically have it powered on unless I was playing with it or tinkering with mame. It does show some misconvergence at the right part of the picture which is the bottom in my case as I had it vertically mounted. You can see this in the u3100_1.bmp picture which shows the red going a little below the word credit. I think this is within WG specs (which aren't that tight), but I could be wrong, take a look at the picture and you'll see what I mean. It arrived with this amount of misconvergence, so I've always considered it normal.
The reason I'm selling it: I found that I really have a LOVE for vector games. This monitor has a low dot pitch (0.78) designed for playing the raster games beautifully which it does. I am going to go with a 21" PC monitor instead so I can support higher resolutions for the vectors I like. This monitor will play vector games as well, just not as sharp as I would like. It supports a resolution of 640x480 @ 60hz, which is the primary resolution I used for MAME. It also supports other resolutions so you can visit the
www.wellsgardner.com website to see the full specs.
Here are the pictures. I think the dkong one turned out a little too bright, so forgive my digital camera's exposure...

www.mikesarcade.com. I won't need them any more, but I've got 2 steel side bars which mounted directly to the cabinet (23" wide) and the 2 steel top and bottom bars that mounted to the monitor and the side bars. These retail for $60 on Mike's website, but I'll sell them for $30. They are reproductions of the actual mspac/galaga parts.
Thanks,
Alan
