filling in gaps around the marquee

Hey - I did a search before I decided to post this, but I wasn't able to find anything on this topic.

I just installed my marquee, and there are little gaps where the light shows through around the edges. I know this happens to other people, and I know lots of those other people decide to cover those gaps up, my question is how?

Any help would be appreciated!

Game manufacturers use common foam rubber weatherstripping which you can get at local hardware stores. It comes in several widths and thicknesses.

Go to a home reno store and look in the build-your-own-windows dept (BYOW). You should be able to find these long strips of vinyl channels, kinda shaped like this: |_,

I went to the hobby store and got some black felt (cheap).   Very easy to simply stick on from the inside of your marquee......so once the marquee is mounted then no light will escape.

The ultra-budget way is to just stick some electrical tape in behind the marquee where the light is shining through.

The smart way is as mentioned above: use either rubber, vinyl or wood to make a thin lining behind the marquee to stop light creeping through the edges.

I used the ultra cheap black electrical tape method and it worked good enough for me.
