Based on the other thread about Pause button, if you have a pause button on your cab/cp, what color is it?

right now it is black.  When I put a theme to my cabinet it will be different.

I sort of like the idea of having a hidden pause button so as not to detract from the authentic arcade appearance

My panel has three joysticks, a trackball, four buttons per player, two trackball buttons, and pinball buttons on the sides, so it's already not an authentic arcade experience.

I've always wondered why people think it detracts from the "authentic" look.  Must be an opinion thing.  Because the older you go the more weird the extra buttons on a cabinet are.  I forgot what old B&W game had a reset scores button on the control panel.  It's in controls.dat....

well, it depends on your panel I guess.
If you can make it fit into your scheme I say go for it

I don't currently have one, but I was planning on adding one on top of my cab. It would sit across from the power button. Did anyone else do this?

Mine's black (& is also my IPAC shift key).

Since my speaker panel is black (and also where the start buttons are) I chose black also to make it as 'hidden' as possible (without actually hiding it, making it harder to operate).  Most of the arcade machines I remember didn't have extra buttons of any kind...

Mine is my shift button which is between the one and two player buttons.  It is white so that there are three white buttons on the top of the panel, Player I, SHIFT, Player II.  Looks really nice, but I would need to build the cab to put it in to tell for sure.  On the panel alone it looks great.
