Not to sound like a nay-sayer, but I'd be surprised if eBay responded/cares without receiving a letter from a law office. In general they keep out of things & don't generally care what a small number of users say... UNLESS it's going to cost them money.
I think a better bet would be to start a thread in one of the eBay forums. A lot of non-BYOAC sellers would see it and potentially be interested in a person shutting down auctions illegitimately. Perhaps from there some kind of reaction could be elicited.
I once had an aucion shut down by a Vero member. It wasn't completely bogus (like this situation) but it wasn't right. I tried to get it cleared up but eBay basically told me that the Vero member said I used their copyright so the auction gets pulled. End of story.
I tried contacting the Vero member and got no reply.
I reposted my auction and it sold without incident.
Anyway, all I'm trying to say is that ebay doesn't give a crap about every little disagreement people have about what is and isn't right. They take the Vero complaints seriously because they don't want to be involved in a lawsuit but unless all their power sellers threaten to stop selling on eBay, they don't really care.
