The prices are ok at the link you provided, but I get better prices and selection at Mouser Electronics.

I can never find stuff on that site its to confusing. but I don't know a whole lot about electronics. I think a lack of pictures on their site has something to do with it though.

I use the printed Mouser catalog. Just got the latest one a couple of days ago. It's 1500 pages and it's free! Mouser issues new catalogs every 4 months. Go to their site a request a printed catalog.

Awesome idea!  I just requested the catalog too.  I've never shopped online and frankly, I never shopped at mouser.  I submitted for a one-time catalog.  2-3 weeks, im waiting!

I looked at the site and needless to say I am very interested in getting a printed catalog (maybe on cd too).  What's the catch though? No company just gives away a 1500 page color catalog every four months to anyone who wants it. Is there a minimum I have to buy? Will I ever get charged for it? Thanks for any info you can give me. I've been looking for a good electronics store for a while now. (RadioShack is overpriced, has no selection, and generally sucks)

Well think about it this way.  If you make lets say 1000 of an item that costs $.50 to manufacture and you charge $.70, if that product sells, cha ching.  If you do this to MANY products, such as the thousands that mouser has, then you can surely afford to give away free catalogs.  I don't know about charges though.  There better not be any!

I just ordered one too.  I've looked at mousers site, but I don't know enough about electronics to find what I need.  I need pictures. ::)

I think what you get is all the PDF pages stuck together.

FUTURELEC is the name of the company.

And you might want to use Google and search usenet (Google Groups) BEFORE placing an order with them.  If you're willing to put up with multi-month long delays and getting the wrong stuff every time you order, in order to save cost over the other places, go ahead and order.  However their reviews on usenet are far from glowing in any way.

OK thanks a lot!

Doesn't really matter color or otherwise. It's just painful on the eyes to read through the PDF catalog ;)

How do prices compare to mouser.com or digikey.com?

I dont need parts by a certain time though so if they take a month to come to my door, Im fine with that.  Prices are very good.  I looked on mouser and I can't see the cheap LEDs :P  Theyre all either the same of a little difference, which shipping covers.

Remember that alot of stuff in the printed Mouser catalog is not shown on the website. However, check out Mouser # 638-333HD red LED, 8 cents each

Im also heading more towards very bright white ones and regular blue ones, thought I should say that because red ones are very cheap, whereas blue and white cost alot more.
