L00kin 4 possible MAME cabs - in E or SE Wisconsin
« on: February 13, 2005, 10:17:53 pm »
Okay.. either I don't know the right people... or the pickins
here is real slim... :)

My plans just fell through to build a huge MAME machine,
w/a 32" Screen....   :'( So now I'm lookin for options to
convert an existing cabs... If I can find any that would suit my
needs....

The trick is that I just never seem to find cabs in my area...
Everything seems to be on the West or East coast!

So I'm just putting some feelers out there, incase anyone knows
of any machines that could be ressurrected.  I'm about 50 Miles North of Milwaukee....

Thanks guys..
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

Check out my thread.  I'm importing a bunch of Candy cabs from China sometime soon.  They'd be ~$800-900 after shipping to your door.  Give me an exact zip code and I'll try to get a better estimate.

Thanks for the offer, but no quadmasta.

From the pics, I wouldnt be able to do much more with
that cabinet than what I have now, except have a larger
monitor mounted in it.
They dont look like the have  a large enough control panel
to do anything more than 2 players of 6 buttons...

The White 'plasticy look' looks kind of cheesy compared to a nice
wooden cabinet
IMHO

There is a guy that is selling MAME JAMMA cabs on ebay
and he quoted me somewhere about $700 for a cabinet
with somewhere around a 4' control panel that can fit
4 players and a trackball - with no drilling done on the panel
or monitor included....
That seems like a better deal......?

They don't list the monitor being included.  That's another $400.  The candy cab is worth it just for the guts.

I want to bump this message.

I too am looking for empty or used cabinets in NE or E Wisconsin. Any help would be great!
