Would you buy Pinball Tokens?
« on: February 11, 2005, 07:43:30 pm »
I know this is slighyly OT, but I thought it would make sense to ask here as well. Looking for a project between the MAME tokens and the 2005 BYOAC Tokens in May.

I personally would not, although I think it's a great idea.  Usually, tokens tend to cost too much, whereas you could just use a simple 25 cent coin.  This way, lets say you have some people who play, they wont mind putting in a few quarters to play some games, why would they?  Quarters have a value, tokens do not.  Therefore, unless you plan on putting a machine in the public, there is no reason to spend the extra $50 to buy 200 tokens that have one purpose for one machine.

Mebbe.  I guess I'd want to see the design before committing.  I'm in the market for tokens, can't decide if I should buy some MAME ones now, or wait for the new BYOAC ones in May.

I'd buy some... I bought 20 of the BYOAC token from a reseller and plan on getting some MAME tokens too.  Any chance you'll offer 20 of those?  I guess I'd continue buying 20 of whatever design you offer to add into my gameroom.  Can't wait to see the 2005s.
