Mame Switching back to windows
« on: February 11, 2005, 05:02:00 pm »
I tried several searches on this and I couldn't really find a thread that covered this, but excuse me if it has .... I currently run Mame32 on a windows xp machine .... using the default key configuration and an IPAC sometimes during gameplay a certain key combination will minimize mame and switch back to windows....anyone else have this problem or now how to remedy it???

Your games play control keys must be intesect with any other keys.
First check in your computer properties,in the advance option and disable any internal Rotation and Hotkeys.

I posted about it before - The problem is with Alt (P1B2) and Enter (P3B??).  Now for the fix . . . testing - Okay there it is - Run any game in MAME - go to the TAB menu, input General, scroll all the way down to Toggle Fullscreen and set this to None (double-press any key, IMS).

i had this problem when i first tried mame32. it was a long time ago now, but i think the two things that made it all good were to turn off the 'hotkeys' function in the graphics and also something else that for the life of me i cant remember! it'll come back to me...

Doesn't sound like the problem you're describing, but it's also a good idea to look for and disable or re-assign hot-keys for screensavers and vid card drivers, etc.
