Need help identifying atari cabinet
« on: February 04, 2005, 09:42:46 am »
Ok, so I'm picking this cab up on Sunday.
I have no idea what it originally was and would love to know.

What I do know...
-It was made by Atari in Ireland (Co.Tipperary)
-It was last seen housing Robocop! (thats no help).

Anyway, thats it. Does anyone recognise the shape of the cab ?
Any ideas ?

Cheers,
Brian.

It's actually shaped exactly like a Cinematronics cab circa 1983 (Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, Cosmic Chasm):

BUT, I notice one difference, that being that your cab has over/under coin doors, while KLOV's pics of the 3 games I mentioned above have the single standard size coin door.

It could be that Atari Ireland was the manufacturer for Cinematronics for certain regions (europe maybe?)

Atari distributed Dragon's Lair overseas, I bet that's your cab.
